On the 13th day in Dubai, we lived like young kings.

Well, I dont know how kings actually live but with all that we saw and experienced that night, I sure felt like one.

We all slept in on the last day since we were exhausted from the night before. We woke up around noon and headed out to the Burj Al Arab (the world’s only 7 star hotel) for lunch we a 6 course appetizer meal. lol. How that makes sense I dont know, but I couldnt breathe after. I ate here the last time when I was in Dubai with Brock, but the food was even better than I remembered.

Later on, we headed for some evening drinks at At.Mosphere at the Burj Khalifa (the world’s tallest building aka the same building Tom Cruise jumped out of in Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol). This place was insane. It had that dark high-gloss hardwood floor, nice ambient lighting, glass and chrome. For shits sake, even the ceiling was dark high gloss hardwood that was bent into all sorts of weird shapes. The At.Mosphere is also the worlds tallest public viewing area. The only thing above this lounge are some rich ass folks with penthouse suites. lol.

After a couple drinks from there, we headed over to the Address Hotel at Dubai Mall and checked out Neos. What I love most about Neos is how long of a trip it is to get there. You walk in through the front lobby. Take a special elevator downstairs into the parking garage. Follow this special path to a next lobby with security guards in the basement parking garage. Take an elevator to the 61st floor or something. But thats not the lounge yet. The 61st floor is a special floor where theres only a lobby with 6 elevators. Its really dark but everything is high gloss black marble with a sparkle in it. Theres a chrome “61″ sign and the ceiling looks like stars sparking in outer space. I didnt do anything bad in that elevator lobby, but I assure you, if a couple was left alone for more than 10 seconds in that lobby, they definitely woulda fuct. lol. Sorry for being vulgar, but that little elevator lobby just has that vibe.

You take another elevator from the 61st floor and land at Neos. And when the door opens, I feel like Im in a futuristic retro bar, if that makes sense. Everyone looks good. Theyre playing jazz. Everything looks so rich and luxurious. I wish so badly Toronto had a place like Neos. I wanted to take a ton of pics at these venues, but I wasnt allowed and it woulda been kinda awkward for whoever ended up in the background of my shots. These venues are just too intimate for me to going all shutter crazy.

We decided against a bottle and decided to just have cocktails and cigars while overlooking the downtown Dubai skyline.

Ok, maybe we didnt really do anything king like on our last day, but we ate, drank, dressed and overlooked the city as if we were kings. I was really really happy. I felt like I experienced a lavishness and luxury that I had never known.

I remember staring out the window and into the lounge and admiring all the beauty I seen and wish that all my other loved ones with were with me to share the experience. I honestly, was so overwhelmed. That last day in Dubai might have been regular to some people, but it’ll definitely be a day I wont forget.

To my brother Dan, thank you so much. I really dont know how I could ever repay you for what you’ve shown me and opened my world to. I would know none of this without you.

To my other brother, Fresh. I left a bill for all the jokes I cracked in Dubai in your mailbox. Please be sure to make all cheques payable to me. lol. Seriously though, Im glad you got to see Dubai and Im glad I was there with you. That was one helluva trip.
