Last week the boys and I headed out to Yum Yum’s on Weston Road, Fresh’s old block.

Dan’s getting ready to head back to Dubai and Fresh insisted that Dan had a good Jamaican meal (for the very first time) before he left. lol.

I didnt grow up too far from this neighbourhood and I must have passed Yum Yum’s a whole heap a times but I dont ever recall going inside.

When we got inside a noticed a few things:

1) Damn, this place is poppin’. People coming in here like clockwork. There was almost someone in line at all times. People hopping off the bus, stoppin’ by after work, on their way out, with their kids, with their folks. Shit was crazy.

2) The restaurant was smaller than I expected. Maybe because I knew it was a buffet. But I wasnt mad at it. It might have been a small spot, but it was super cozy in that joint.

I didnt get to try everything because I stopped breathing after awhile cuz I was so full, but Fresh and Dan ate every single item that was in the buffet.

Its been awhile since Ive had some good Jamaican food, but damn, did this place ever hit the spot. I couldnt breathe or chew anymore and I was still trying to put food in my mouth. Fresh was full and on our way out, this guy even grabbed a piece of fry chicken and ate outside before we got back in the car. lol.

On a side note, Fresh, Rahmuhl and I have been randomly speaking to each other in Jamaican Patois for the past month (dont ask why), and like a real fool, I kept randomly busting out random nonsensical phrases in Patois. lol. Its ok, somedays I dont know me either.

Anyhow, shout outs to Yum Yum’s. That food was delicious.
