TNT – The New Trend celebrated their 20th Anniversary and the launch of their new 18,000 square foot space in Hazelton Lanes this past Thursday and of course, Ashley had me on board to document the evenings festivities.

I wont even lie, I didnt know anything about TNT until that very day. Somehow everyone I know knows about it but no one ever decided to tell me its like a Queen Street West boutique but on crack! lol. I have no idea what it looked like before the renovations, but that place is massive. If I could describe TNT, Id say its like a mini Holts (Renfrew) for a younger and more hip demographic. It also feels a bit more exclusive because its hidden inside a tiny mall inside an alley inside Yorkville.

People started pouring in right at 6pm which I thought was odd because I figured everyone would have tried to be late since it was a fashion related event. Pssh. I would have tried to be late even though I look like the early type. lol.

Even Nicole Richie was there pretty early. I remembered when she just got in, all I saw was a crowd of photographers going crazy. Nonstop flashing. I went to go check out what it was about and realized it was her and then flashbacks of the Simple Life came to mind. lol. Oh how many mindless nights did I spend watching that show.

Once again there was an open bar for drinks (shouts to Stolichnaya) and an open sushi bar (shouts to Blowfish Restaurant and Sake Bar). One of my homies was a server and he kept bringing me drinks every 20-30 minutes, which was amazing, but not so amazing that it caused me to call in sick for my night gig. lol. Im telling you, vodka and red wine is a bad combination.

I do events all the time but its a rare scenario when I get to relax and actually be a part of the action as opposed to experiencing it through a lens. I thought the crowd was cool and very interesting. I love when women can still look so hot even when they’re all covered up. It was also really cool to see a bunch of really well dressed and sharp looking older gentlemen. I always imagine myself wearing suits and fancy schmancy clothes when Im older. *Will dusts his shoulders
