Ive been doing back to back shoots, back to back meetings and just about errthang else in between.

And yesterday morning was no different.

I woke up early (10am…thats damn early to me. lol) to meet Fresh downtown at Gafas Optical Shop to talk to the owner, Tony about some potential projects.

Needless to say, our sit down went exceptionally well. I wish I could tell you what we’re up to, but I love the game of anticipation, so you’ll have to just hang in there for now.

As many of you know my friend and business partner, Fresh, amongst many other things is a wardrobe stylist. Hes been going to Gafas for a long time now to pull glasses for video/photo shoots. Whenever we’d be on set together, Fresh would always pull out a big leather box from his duffle bag and be like “choose one”. And Ive always been like….where in the crack did you get these things. And he’d always be like “Gafas. The sickest glasses store in Toronto.” and he’d say it as if he was on an informercial being interviewed, in the same tone and expression everytime. lol. If you know Fresh, you’ll know what I mean.  And then he’d always say “I havent taken you there yet?”

No man! You havent! You ask me this every damn time! lol

So finally after 2 years, yesterday was my very first time inside Gafas.

Gafas has the biggest selection of high end and vintage glasses in all of Toronto. From Chrome Hearts to Cazals, Ditas to Barton Pereira, Leisure Society to Salt  and even super rare Alain Mikli’s that Andy Warhol wore to the Mykita and Romain Kremer that Lady Gaga rocks, I assure you, Gafas is like crack for your eyeballs.

This aint no Hakim Optical. Gafas is a whole different type of swag.

If you’re ever in the Queen/ Spadina area, make sure to check out Gafas and tell Tony, I sent you…and dont worry, he wont kick you out for saying that. lol
